Write Me Out

Writing is my holy grail, where I can express myself and share my thoughts and ideas from my brain.

It was tough at first because my thoughts were messy, scattered, unorganized. I was too embarrassed to write them out, afraid that people would see how messy and incapable I was.

I had pages upon pages of unfinished ideas and blogs. I never seemed to be capable enough to finish them.

But I kept writing, even though 90% of my writing will never get posted.

And I realized that it is okay, that is the commitment I made to this craft: To do it even though it can be disappointing, lonely, and “wasteful”.

I kept writing.

Writing is spiritual to me.

These symbols and strings of letters bring the “me” out.

I feel the energy that my words carry, a special energy that transpires time, space, generations, device, medium, and this whole universe.

Same to others’ writing. Whenever I pick up a book to read or simply a social media post, I feel the thoughts of the author, the values they brought to those pages, the future they hope for, their regrets, and the beauty of the present moments.

When I read my own writing, I sometimes left in awe at the power of words, of my own stories, of me at a point of time in my life.

It brought back memories, emotions, love, compassion.

It brought back a piece of “me” that has been crystalized and well-preserved.

I hope for a future where more of us read these wonderful passages of wisdom in those hundred-page books.

That is one way to learn, experience without the expensiveness of travel, of special experience, with just a book, you can open up so much of your mind to something new.

So if you have ideas, start writing.

If you don’t have ideas, read.

Writing is a wonderful process and I bet you will find so much about yourself when you write more than any personality tests.

Below are some famous quotes about the power of writing. Enjoy!

Love and best,
