This is the Last but Definitely Not the Last

Yes, this is the 30th blog in my #30DayWritingChallenge.

It’s bitter sweet that this is the end because it has been a really fun challenge. The rhythm throughout was so smooth with the set-up, the writing, and the typing.

I was excited for this challenge despite the doubts. However, when I was half-way through, I knew I could conquer this challenge without a hitch. This was one of my wish list items for a while, and now, finally crossing it off the list, it feels great. It is a great sense of accomplishment and also a great sense of certainty. I wrote in one of the previous blogs that Success is Never a Surprise. I felt the same coming into this challenge, I did not know I would be successful but I was somewhat 80% certain that I could pull it off. That was a high percentage of certainty, and was certainly much higher than before.

This achievement also portrays not just my ability but the consistency, the mental readiness, and my maturity.

I am proud. I am proud of myself for keeping to my commitment, for doing what I longed to do, and for committing to honing my craft.

It also helps that my flow of thoughts is clearer and my writing is a bit better than before. Practice makes perfect, a motto I will stick to for the rest of my life. There is no short cut to success or skillfulness. The one way and the highway is consistent practice. 1% improvement each day compounds.

The learnings I got from this challenge are enlightening.

I found that writing in bulk was key to success. I often wrote in bulk, 5 or 6 blogs at a time during a Saturday or Sunday, and scheduled them all at the same time.

I found that brainstorming at the beginning with pen, paper, and sticky notes was impactful. It helped materialize the challenge and the digital writing and blogs. With each sticky note, each idea was sown like a seed implanted in abundant earth.

The principle of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) applies to my design of the blog header. I kept changes to the visual to the minimal, just another obstacle removed for sufficiency and more focus on the substance.

As I wrap up my #30DayWritingChallenge, I now this is not the end. This is the beginning to more writing, more expression, more freedom, and more success.

Thank me for following through this journey.

And I thank everyone for reading these words and following the journey for the past 30 days.

So what next? I plan to share these blogs on my social media, LinkedIn in a more refined version. I will continue to write, and maybe will do another 30-day challenge in the near future when I have more time.

I will continue to journal each day in my beloved notebook. I will allow myself to let thoughts out when they overwhelm my head.

If you are thinking of doing such writing challenge, I would highly recommend. If you are not ready, it is okay, just start writing in whatever capacity you are comfortable and ready for.

All the best,

Thao #Day30 #LASTDAY #30DayWritingChallenge
