Success Is Never A Surprise

This idea recently came to me. Success is never a surprise.

When someone comments, this person will be successful in the future. Do they know if that person would be successful for sure? No, but there are indicators. And with those indicators and wisdom and experience, ones can spot out those successful people.

Of course, the measurement of success is often not universal. Often, when someone says, this person would be successful in the future, most of us would assume it’s success in career or business. It doesn’t imply personal success as a person, meaning happiness or life contentment. So don’t be discouraged if you don’t receive those encouragement.

Let’s talk about all kinds of happiness and success in this blog. What are the indicators of success that you can spot in someone else or in your own life?

I think (at this point of my life) some good indicators would be:

1) They have good habits. They can take care of their mental health, physical health, relational heath effectively. They follow healthy routines.

2) They are consistent with their goals. When they say they want to do something, they take actions and do it consistently.

3) They are not afraid to take risks. They know to achieve something they have to give up something. That’s risk they are willing to take.

4) They have good support system. This is very. important I think. Without others’ support, it would be rather difficult to take risks.

5) They know what they want, if they do not, they strive to find out. They go beyond and challenge the status quo.

6) They are not afraid of working hard, doing dirty work.

7) They know themselves, their ability, capacity, talent, wisdom, experience, and base their confidence and decision on that.

8) They know when to quit. This is something I learn quite recently too, quitting is not losing. Quitting a losing battle early is a good practice so that they can invest time in a more viable idea or space.

9) They take rest, give themselves space for experiments, failures, learning curve.

I don’t have any backup stories for these yet but I hope I can develop this into a more well-researched blog 🙂 But I hope this sheds some insights for you.

Have a great day,

Thao
