Everybody starts somewhere.
My journey started in Vietnam where I grew up peacefully in the suburbs of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. My dad was an engineer and my mom took care of us and worked odd jobs.
I went to Canada in 2011 to study as an international student, and got my PR in 2017.
During the time I studied at a college, I met my husband. We got married a few years after we met, and we are celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year. We also welcomed a beautiful daughter who is turning 6!

Shortly after I gave birth to my daughter, I finished my university degree in management. Upon finishing, I pondered over law school as learning and exploring are what I enjoy doing. Two years after I got my university degree, I was accepted into a law school in Alberta, Canada.
Currently, I am finishing the last year of my 3-year law degree and will commence my articles next year (2026).
The journey over the past 14 years I have been in Canada has been a whirlwind, challenging but worthwhile. Balancing between being a woman, a mom, a partner, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a community member is an art that I am working on.
In this blog, I want to share resources and lessons that I’ve learnt along the way with the hope that other moms–like me–can find shared experiences and connect over tough moments and a desire to build a career for ourselves.
I am thankful for the support I receive and I am excited to share what I can!
If you are unsure where to go from here, here are a few blog suggestions:
- I feel like I want to be a “power mom”. But: What Does It Mean To Be a “Power Mom”?
- I want to advance in my career as a mom. Where do I start?
- I am overwhelmed as a mom and a woman. I need some help!
The strategies that I focus on in this site include:
- Minimalism
- Habits
- Mindfulness, and
- Writing.
Much love!
