This trip to Vietnam is honestly amazing as I have learnt to appreciate travelling and Vietnamese culture a lot more.
I am immersed in Vietnamese quintessence everywhere I go and feeling Vietnam through all of my senses.
I have thoroughly enjoyed Vietnam’s aromas and taste in the food and activities. The scent of coffee fills coffee shops giving them a cozy atmosphere animated with the unique Hanoi architecture.
We visited Cafe Giang, Loading T coffee, Sely and many different small sidewalk shops. I really enjoyed Loading T and Sely, the coffee delivered a strong, fresh and authentic taste.

I passed by the Flower Market at Au Co street just enough to get surrounded with gentle scents of all types of flowers.
The aroma of Vietnamese street food was also flying around in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. And some of these aromas you would not find anywhere else!

Though, my daughter reminded me that in between of these amazing smells was the ungentle scent of the warm sweaty air and water that is a part of Hanoi this summer season.

My favourite scent is from our spa in Emeralda Tam Coc. We had a herbal massage which was not only relaxing for the body but also for my nose.
The herbal massage also came with hot herbal cloth treatment for my palms and spine. I appreciate the work of my massage therapist, and the value the service provided.

The music accompanying my travel has also been elaborate. For my anniversary dinner at Khue Restaurant, we adored the live piano music played next to our table. It was a party for our ears and our hearts, too. We listened to Yiruma’s songs.

At Emeralda Tam Coc, they played Studio Ghibli’s soundtracks in the lobby and by the pools well-fitted for the atmosphere which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The biggest party for my ears was honestly at the rooftop pool at the Watson! They played all the best songs from Big Bang—my favourite Korean boyband. I danced and jumped in the water to the beat of my teenage favourite songs, including Haruharu, Lies, Always, Tonight—many songs that were a part of my puberty years. And even better, this was all happening at sunset, viewing this sunset scene at this pool with these songs was top notch experience.

I would spend the most praise for what I have been enjoying with my eyes. I have been pampered with very delicate and elaborate sceneries, man-made and nature-made.
I am impressed with how much thought and passion that many resorts are putting into designing its facilities. I am so proud of the cultural display of Vietnam quintessence through architecture and shows.

This trip has taught me to live slower to listen, observe, breathe in, taste, and feel Vietnam and its beauty. That is how a culture should be enjoyed.
Thanks Vietnam and its people for delivering this top-notch experience.
See you later!
